Happily ever after

This is my parent's wedding day.

A low key ceremony with only two friends as they'd both been married before.

It was the official beginning of a happy chapter of their life. One that lasted until ever after.

A relationship that demonstrated what's possible on the other side of divorce.

For my Mum, a baby she didn't think she could have.

For my Dad, a second chance to parent at the pinnacle of his career and retirement.

For me, half brothers who were in their teens and twenties.

I heard about the pain and hurt from their ruptured relationships, learned of all the legalities, stigma, shame and sadness, and benefited from the growth and freedom they felt by following their heart.

I've witnessed friend's parents, family members, and friends divorce and noticed the shame and stress that comes from the relationship unravelling.

I wanted to explore it more, particularly as I'd been privileged to witness my gorgeous friend, the Radiant and Whole-hearted Woman, Lisa Winneke, consciously and powerfully complete her marriage and divorce recently.

Lisa has an amazing life story that she's been generously sharing for many years, in her book, ‘The Dawn of Hope’, as ‘The Good News Guide’ creator and podcast host, and on her social media platforms. No stranger to sharing openly, our conversation is rich with her insights, self-awareness, and desire to paint a different picture of divorce.

I'd love you to listen to our conversation.

You can find the episode on SpotifyApple Podcasts, Google Podcasts or your fav podcast platform. You can also watch our interview and get more details about the episode on my podcast page.

I guarantee it's a happy hour that'll leave you feeling inspired and curious about alcohol as an ingredient in your happiness.
