This Privacy Policy explains how I, Penny van der Sluys, collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you visit my website, join Wonder Women Club, attend an event or experience, listen or subscribe to my work, join a program, work with me privately, or otherwise interact with my business.
I aim to handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) where they apply.
What information I may collect
Depending on how you interact with me, I may collect information including:
your name, email address, phone number and contact details
information you provide when joining a membership, program, event, mailing list or waitlist
booking and attendance information
payment and transaction information
correspondence, enquiries and feedback
responses to forms, questionnaires or surveys
photographs, video, audio or testimonials where you have agreed to their use
website usage information, such as browser, device and interaction data
information you voluntarily share with me during coaching, breathwork, workshops or other experiences
Because of the nature of some of my work, you may choose to share sensitive or personal information, including information relating to your health, wellbeing, body, relationships or sexuality.
I only collect this kind of information where it is reasonably necessary for the service I am providing and where you have provided it voluntarily or consented to its collection.
How I collect information
I may collect information directly from you when you:
complete a website form
subscribe to emails
book or purchase something
join Wonder Women Club or another program
register for an event
complete an intake or consent form
communicate with me by email, phone, messaging or social media
participate in coaching, circles, workshops or other experiences
Some information may also be collected automatically when you use my website, including through cookies, analytics or similar technologies.
Why I collect and use your information
I may use your personal information to:
provide the service, membership, event, program or experience you have requested
process bookings and payments
communicate with you about your purchase, booking or membership
provide relevant preparation, follow-up or participant support
respond to enquiries
manage my community and events
send newsletters, invitations and information about my work where you have consented to receive them
improve my website, programs and services
maintain appropriate business and financial records
meet legal, regulatory, insurance or professional obligations
protect the safety, rights and wellbeing of participants and others where appropriate
I do not sell your personal information.
Email and marketing communications
If you join my mailing list, register your interest in my work or otherwise consent to receive communications, I may send you emails about events, programs, resources and other things I think may be relevant to you.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting me.
Administrative messages relating to something you have purchased, booked or joined may still be sent where necessary.
Sensitive information
I recognise that some of the information shared in my work may be particularly personal.
Sensitive information will only be collected where it is reasonably necessary and with your consent, or where otherwise permitted or required by law.
I do not use sensitive information for unrelated marketing purposes.
Session notes and records
Where I keep notes relating to private sessions or client work, these are treated as confidential.
Any physical notes I create are stored securely in my home office and are not ordinarily accessible to anyone else. I take reasonable steps to protect them from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.
For some online sessions, I may use Zoom’s note-taking or AI meeting-summary features. Where these features are used, I will make this clear to you. Zoom-generated notes or transcripts may be stored within Zoom’s systems in accordance with Zoom’s privacy and data-retention practices.
If you would ever like a copy of the notes or Zoom-generated summary from your session, you are welcome to ask.
I do not share session notes with other people unless you have given me permission, or disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Payments
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
I do not generally receive or store your complete credit or debit card details.
Those payment providers handle payment information in accordance with their own privacy and security practices.
Photographs, recordings and testimonials
At some events or experiences, photographs, video or audio may be captured.
Where identifiable images, recordings or testimonials are intended for promotional or public use, I will seek appropriate permission.
You are welcome to tell me if you do not wish to be photographed or recorded.
Service providers and overseas processing
I use trusted third-party platforms to help operate my business, including services for website hosting, customer and membership management, email communication, video calls, bookings, payments, analytics and digital content.
These providers may process or store personal information outside Australia, including in the United States and potentially other countries in which their infrastructure or service providers operate.
I take reasonable steps to work with reputable providers and to protect personal information appropriately.
The privacy practices of those providers are also governed by their own privacy policies.
The platforms I use may change from time to time, and I will update this policy where there is a material change in how your information is handled.
Cookies and website information
My website may use cookies and similar technologies to help the site function, understand how it is being used and improve the visitor experience.
Some third-party tools embedded in or connected with the website may also use cookies or similar technologies.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, although some website functions may not work as intended if you do.

When information is no longer required, I take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it where appropriate.

You may ask me what personal information I hold about you, request access to it, or ask me to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
I may need to confirm your identity before providing access.
In some circumstances, the law may allow or require me to refuse access to particular information. If that occurs, I will explain the reason where I am permitted to do so.
